
A legend in his own time, World Champion Saddle Bronc Rider Butch LeMay has successfully competed at both ends of the arena. He has consistently performed his championship style professionally for over 30 years, winning every major IPRA rodeo in the country at least once. With his career now focused on the many facets of roping, Butch competes in and teaches team roping, calf roping and break-away roping.
Butch is currently training horses in Collinsville, Oklahoma. This location gives Butch the opportunity to haul his animals in many major circuits as well as offer services to a broader range of customers.
American Quarter Horse Association approved shows is one such circuit. Competing at major shows such as Tulsa, Oklahoma, Tampa, Florida, Nebraska and more. Butch qualified two stallions to the AQHA World Championship Show in the Heading, Heeling and Calf Roping in 2002. He is currently training for showing and jackpot rope horses and starting colts for cutting and all aspects of the horse business.
Butch's experience in the horse industry does not end in the rodeo and roping arena. His wife, Meri McKillips LeMay, is accredited American Paint Horse Association Judge, being chosen for the APHA World Show in 1997 and 2001. Meri also judges in the National Snaffle Bit and North American Saddle Mule Associations and has judged major livestock shows including Houston, San Antonio , Fort Worth, and the International Livestock show in Springfield, Illinois.
